Day 1: Failte! Ireland Welcomes you!

K Club

Arrive Dublin Airport and meet your Irish driver. Get acquainted as you drive to the Kildare Hotel & Country Club for a 3-night stay. Relax and enjoy this magnificent estate. First enjoy a 1-hour spa treatment in the hotel's leisure center to help you unwind before your fabulous tour ahead! Perhaps play a round of golf on one of the K Club's courses or tour the area, visiting the Irish National Stud and the Japanese Gardens in Kildare. Tonight enjoy dinner in the hotel.

Overnight: K Club Considered one of Ireland's most luxurious and elegant resorts, the K Club is internationally renowned for its exquisite art, brilliant cuisine, and impeccable service.

Day 2: Ryder Cup, 2005 and a Mystical Site from 2,500 B.C.

K Club

This morning play The K Club. Considered one of Europe's most challenging courses, The K Club offers championship golf at its finest. Later drive north to Meath and tour the Boyne Valley. Visit the Hill of Tara, once the seat of the high kings of Ireland. See Newgrange, a Neolithic burial tomb and passage centre that pre-dates the pyramids. The visitors centre features a life-size replica and a very informative audio visual presentation on this site that is considered to be Ireland's most significant archaeological site. Tonight perhaps have dinner at a local restaurant or dine in the hotel on your own.

Portmarnock

Today play your first round of Irish links golf at Portmarnock. Surrounded by water on three sides, this renowned course is both stunning and challenging. Later drive south into Wicklow, "the garden of Ireland". Visit Powerscourt Gardens and Waterfall, which features an extensive and eclectic group of gardens and the largest waterfall in the British Isles. Continue south through the Wicklow mountains to Glendalough, a 6th century monastic ruin set in a majestic mountain haven. Later return to the K Club for another night of fine dining in the hotel restaurant.

Mount Juliet House

Drive south today to Thomastown, County Kilkenny for a 1-night stay at Mount Juliet. This country estate boasts more than 900 acres on the River Nore, offering a championship golf course, horseback riding, and fishing, while offering clients luxurious accommodation and exquisite country house cuisine. Play a round at Mount Juliet, a parkland Irish course that has hosted a variety of championships. Later perhaps tour nearby Kilkenny City, Ireland's finest example of a medieval city. Tour Kilkenny Castle and perhaps do some shopping at the Kilkenny Design Centre. Enjoy dinner tonight in Mount Juliet House.

Park Hotel Kenmare Kenmare, Co. Kerry

Today drive through Tipperary, seeing the Rock of Cashel and Cahir Castle, grand reminders of the early days of Irish kings as far back as the 4th century. Continue to County Cork, stopping at Blarney Castle, where a kiss of the Blarney Stone is said to impart eloquence. Perhaps do some shopping at the Blarney Woolen Mills, where you will find everything from clothing to crystal, all Irish-made. Continue through incredibly scenic West Cork, taking in the views that have made Ireland famous for natural beauty. Drive into County Kerry, arriving in Kenmare. Check into the Park Hotel Kenmare for a 2-night stay. As Ireland's most established luxury hotel, the Park has set the standard for excellence, offering impeccable service, individually decorated rooms, and a magnificent restaurant. Tonight enjoy a gourmet dinner at the Park Hotel.

Waterville Golf Club

This morning drive to the world renowned Ring of Kerry. This naturally stunning region has lured locals and travelers for years with its spectacular mountain, lakeside, bogland, and coastal scenery. With very few commercial tourist stops the Ring of Kerry's natural wonders and views are an attraction unto themselves, including Ireland's four largest mountains, Carrantuohill, Beenkeragh, Caher, and Carrautonhill. Play a round of scenic and challenging golf at Waterville. Renowned as a challenging links course, complimented by the amazing sea views, Waterville is a golf-must! Later return to Kenmare and perhaps have dinner in one of Kenmare's many fine restaurants.

Adare Manor

Discover more of Kerry today, visiting Killarney, the bustling center of Kerry. Visit Muckross House and Gardens and perhaps take a horse and jaunt ride through the Killarney National Park. Continue to the north coast of Kerry for a round of golf on the incomparable Ballybunion. Perhaps Ireland's most famous links course, Ballybunion has been a favorite for over 100 years. Later drive north to the picturesque village of Adare, which offers thatched roofed cottages, interesting monastic ruins, and a variety of antique and specialty shops. Check in to Adare Manor for a 1-night stay. This castle-like resort was built in 1832 as the residence of the Earl of Dunraven and boasts stately halls, elegant bedroom, and a vast variety of facilities and activities, including a championship golf course, horse back riding, and a leisure centre. Enjoy fine dining tonight at Adare Manor.

St. Clerans

Continue through Limerick into County Clare, stopping to visit Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, where you will get a glimpse into 19th century Ireland. Continue to the magnificent Clare Coast and see the world renowned Cliffs of Moher, which stretch dramatically 700 feet. Play another world renowned course at Lahinch. The rugged coastal terrain of Lahinch gives golfers a unique experience and some interesting surprises. Drive through Clare's Burren region and into County Galway, arriving in Craughwell for a 1-night stay at St. Clerans. Formerly the family home of John Houston, the famous director, this small luxury country house is immaculately decorated and dedicated to personalized service and attention. Enjoy another gourmet dinner tonight at St. Clerans.

Day 9: Glasgow and 5-Star Scotland at its finest...

Transfer to Shannon Airport, say good-bye to your Irish driver, and depart for Scotland. Sl'an Abhaile! Fly to Scotland, arriving Glasgow Airport. Meet your Scottish driver/guide and see the sites of Glasgow, including George Square, which has statues of Queen Victoria, Robert Burns, and Sir Walter Scott, as well as the Hunterian Art Gallery, which houses pieces from Rembrandt, Whistler and many others. Later drive south to Turnberry Hotel for a 2-night stay. Renowned for its magnificent golf courses, this 5-star resort offers guests elegant surroundings, a host of facilities, and the best in service. Relax and enjoy a 1-hour spa treatment in the hotel's leisure center. Have dinner tonight in the hotel's dining room.

Day 10: Scottish Golf, Robert Burns, and Relaxation...

Today play a round of golf at Turnberry. Offering two world famous courses, the Ailsa and Western Gailes, Turnberry is a perfect example of Scottish golf at its best. Later tour the area, driving north through "Burns Country". Visit the lovely village of Ayr and the birthplace of Burns, Alloway, just 2 miles south. Visit Culzean Castle and Country Park, a magnificent mansion, set on a dramatic clifftop. Later return to Turnberry for afternoon tea, where you can enjoy the magnificent sea views. Enjoy dinner tonight in the hotel.

Day 11: Another Golfers' Dream / Edinburgh, the Cultural Capital

This morning play another round of golf at Prestwick. Later drive to Edinburgh for a 2-night stay at the Balmoral Hotel. Located on Princes Street, this elegant hotel is considered the finest in Edinburgh, and offers exquisite service, a full service leisure spa, and an ideal location. Tour this exciting city later. Visit Edinburgh Castle, which was inhabited as far back as the year 1000. Absorb the views from the castle's tower and then walk the Royal Mile, seeing some of Scotland's most historic attractions including Cannonball House. Visit the Parliament House, the seat of the Scottish government until 1707 and then drive to the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the official residence of the queen when she is in Scotland. Dine on your own tonight in Edinburgh.

Day 12: The Lothians: Reminders of a Regal Time

Today tour the castles and manor houses of the Lothians, Edinburgh's surrounding countryside. First visit Dalmeny House, the first of the stately homes clustered on the western edge of Edinburgh. This 1815 Tudor Gothic boasts 18th century French furniture and a spectacular library. Next see Hopetoun House, dating back to 1699. Continue along the Forth Valley Castle trail and visit the House of the Binns, a fortified stronghold which was transformed into a gracious mansion in the 17th century. Next visit the splendid ruin of Linlithgow Palace, birthplace of Mary, Queen of Scots. Later return to Edinburgh for dinner on your own.

Day 13: A World Class Golf Resort

This morning drive to the medieval town of Stirling for a tour. Take the Back Walk leading to Stirling Castle, which dominates the landscape. Continue to the midlands of Scotland, arriving for a 2-night stay at The Gleneagles Hotel. By far Scotland's most complete luxury resort, Gleneagles comprises 830 acres and offers a broad range of activities including three 18-hole championship golf courses, horseback riding, clay-target shooting, falconry, and off-road driving. This afternoon play a round at Gleneagles. Another of Scotland's finest courses, Gleneagles is world renowned as a spectacular parkland course. Later perhaps have a massage in the leisure center or take a leisurely swim. In the evening dine at Gleneagles.

Day 14: The Old Course

Today play golf where the game was invented at St. Andrews. Live every golfer's dream at this world renowned course that has been around for over 100 years. Later tour this historic town. See the oldest structure in St. Andrews, St. Rules' Church built in 1126. Visit St. Andrews University, the oldest university in Scotland. Tour the British Golf Museum, which explains the history of golf as we know it. On your way back to Gleneagles, perhaps visit Perth and the many surrounding castles and ruins. Visit Elcho Castle, an abandoned 15th century fortified mansion with an eerie effect. See Scone Palace, which offers a 19th century theme and continue to Huntingtontower Castle, a double tower dating back from the 15th century. Return to Gleneagles and enjoy a farewell dinner in the hotel's dining room.

Day 15:

Transfer to Glasgow Airport, say good-bye to your Scottish driver and depart for the U.S.
